Open the blond texture and copy it (don't worry, it's the same that I linked, just cropped out a part of it that seemed useful). Change the opacity to 30% (well, you can change it to other number too, but it worked the best for me), so you can see both the alpha and the textures that are located under the alpha.

Open the alpha too, and copy the alpha layer to the top of the texture layer. Open the adult textures (that starts with afhair or amhair). Open your photo editing program (Photoshop).

There are textures, alphas, and a bunch of black whatever that we don't have to care about.

Go to the Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Projects/"the name of your new project" folder and you can see what have been exported. Textures and color actions (I linked Simgaroop's)įirst, open Bodyshop, and start a new projectįind the hair that you want to retexture (I usually choose the red one, don't ask me why) and export it. Photoshop (or you can also use other photo editing programs, but I'm not sure what colors are available in GIMP curves) Warning: Possible grammar mistakes and occasional Hungarian words on the pictures I use Simgaroop's textures, but I'm pretty sure this method is also useful for other MM textures that don't have multiple shines to place. When we tried to resolve it with this update, it caused some glitches to the Sim's look.and we don't want that -) However, going to get your Sim's hair dyed, will appropriately show them not at home.So I've been asked if I could write a tutorial about how I retexture hair. We know of this issue and will try to take another stab at resolving that soon. When your Sim goes to get a haircut, it looks like they are still home. If it is a custom progression, the mod will shorten based on what was set for that progression. As long as the hair length tag is the same, the mod is doing what it should. It can't "see" that it is shorter than the previous style. Your Sim may switch to a shorter looking style in Overgrown status because the mod randomly chooses the hairstyle. I mean, who wouldn't! It should go back after their hair has grown out, and they get a haircut. Short and Medium hairstyles will remain if your Sim gets a haircut before the Overgrown period is over.īAD HAIRCUTS CAN HAPPEN! Your Sim could come back with clown hair that will make them feel overly embarrassed about when they get home. If your Sim has long hair (you can check with the cheat "oh.hairlength"), their hairstyle will become shorter so to provide a more dynamic hair progression.
